One of my previous blogs is entitled "The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases" and of course that is taken directly from the psalm 107...several places actually. And in that blog(August 22 I think it was if you want to refer to it) I referred to verse 4. "Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to an inhabited town;" This is a picture of my own life; I've been there, done that, as the modern vernacular puts it, even of late and it has caused me to look inward and I do not like what I see. I mentioned the desert we had to drive through when we were in Arizona; it was a detour and it was a wasteland. One place marked on the Arizona road map was called Nothing, and as you drive through the desert you will actually come to a place where there is one building, a shack of a place with a sign on it that says...Nothing, and as you pass that building and look in your rear view mirror there is another sign that says...At all. A town called Nothing At all. Sounds funny, doesn't it? I have been wandering in that desert town called Nothing and it has caused me to do what these folks found here in verses 4-6 have done. "Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them from their distresses." How many times can I fall and still ask for His forgiveness and how many times will He reach down and pick me up and establish my way one more time? "The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases" How I thank God that when He forgives me of that sin, He also forgets that I have ever sinned. When I have hurt somebody (as I have done more than once in the same way) I ask for forgiveness but that person says "NO", what am I to do? I will call upon the LORD. I will cast my heavy burden on Him for He cares for me. He cares for you too.

Once again, Randall, you have caused me to grab my search tools - both my "Comprehensive Bible Concordance" and online search - for the word “through” -your writing caused me to overwhelmingly think that we cannot stay at the place of the desert, the place of Nothing but have to go "through" to where God wants us to go. So my search took me to scriptures which were so encouraging and hopeful – “break through”, “pass through”, “went through”. Then, of course, that wonderful scripture of Jesus in John 4:4, "He must needs go through . . ." Sometimes we have to go through . . . whatever . . . because it is in those times, God can really get out attention, or speak to us, or as in the case of Elijah, hide, feed, and restore him over a period of three years. (1 Kings 17) (For some of us, it takes longer!) I’m with Elijah, thinking that sometimes God Himself takes us through the desert place. Think of Jesus – He did not start His ministry until after His time in the desert place – where, He obviously was empowered by God.
As you can see, this topic has sparked thought and meditation on His Word – Randall, you have once again done what you set out to do.
Is't wonderful that God never give's up on us.No matter how many times we make mistakes He is faithful and forgives us.
He is always there for us even if we have to asked for forgivness for the same thing again and again.
As long as when we ask we are truly
sorry for that sin and we are really trying to over come that sin
Now I'm not saying that we can keep on sinning ask forgivness and sin again .No God knows our heart
and He will be there for us but we have to be looking for Him with real sorrow for the sin and asking for His help not to sin again.
