I have entitled this series, a psalm for the church and it is taken from Psalm 107 and my thoughts are tempered by these words found in verse 20, "He sent His Word and healed them."
In Gloucester, Massachusetts there is a statue with a portion of a verse that comes from this psalm..."Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters,
24 They see the works of the LORD and His wonders in the deep.
25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind,
Which lifts up the waves of the sea.
26 They mount up to the heavens,
They go down again to the depths,
Their soul melts because of trouble.
Isn't this a picture of life? You go to work to earn a living for your family like these mariners that the psalm writer speaks of and life deals out some pretty severe weather just because you are alive...saint or sinner; it doesn't matter...that's life; tossed on the waves
verse 27, " They reel to and fro like a drunken man, And are at their wits end"
Sounds like life to me...you see none of us are exempt from trouble. But there is hope for the one whose faith is in the God that I serve and His name is Jesus. He is exclusively...God. Look at verse 28, "Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses. 29 He calms the storm, So that its waves are still."
"He calms the storm." Is there a storm in your life today? Are you worried and anxious over something that is too big for you to handle? Are the cares of life overwhelming you?
You do not need to carry these things alone...give them up...give them over to Jesus.
There is a verse that comes to mind from Psalm 55, verse 22, "Cast your burden on the LORD and He will sustain you." He will keep you...and He will keep your loved ones and save those that are lost. You can trust Him.

Good day Randall
I can testify to the true of what you are saying.God has seen me through some trials and storms that
without Him I know I would not have made it.
He gives you peace that the world can not understand.
He gives you good friends to stand by you.
He makes away out when we see no way.
He takes things that should break
us and makes us stronger because of them.
He is our way,our truth, and our life.
Yes,give your burdens to Jesus and see how He will work things out for you.See who He will put in your path to help you, look for the way that He is opening up and stand strong knowing that the Lord is on your side.
