In Christ - Have been thinking this morning since reading an online devotional about God Who Sanctifies about our position in Christ. With all the online notes this week about the new year coming and what resolutions you and I might make and helps for us in trying to keep them, they have been another reminder of our position in Christ. Then just yesterday, in a conversation about something that was presenting a little difficulty, a friend made the comment that “satan was really working against us”. I immediately reacted with how I feel whenever I hear such a statement with “Oh, this is not the devil, he gets far too much air time and far too much credit.” And that is exactly how I feel on the subject.

I firmly believe that when we know who we are in Christ, then the devil cannot get to us. I am reminded of a sermon I heard about 20 years ago, you know the kind of sermon with an illustration and you remember the subject topic too, not just the illustration. Our pastor was preaching on the subject of being “in Christ”. I don’t remember any of his points but I surely got the picture in my head and think of it often of what it means to be in Christ. Let me share with you the picture that was put into my head and subsequently into my heart.

You have to picture our dear Pastor friend. He was a young man probably in his 30's who stood well over 6 feet and had played both high school and college football. So he was a big guy. During his sermon, he invited a young man, Keith, a newly married man of our congregation to the front. Keith was early 20's, slight build and not nearly six feet. Our pastor took off his suit coat and hung it around Keith’s shoulders. Of course, we all laughed because it did certainly look funny. The coat hung almost to Keith’s knees and his hands did not nearly reach the ends of the sleeves. However, in the next few seconds, everyone in that congregation certainly got the picture. IN CHRIST.

We got it!! When we are “cloaked” with Christ, we are different!! We look different, people can hardly recognize us!! Wouldn’t that be a good thing, some times? I repent when I think of the times I have stepped outside of the coat to act in a way that was certainly not Christ-like. II Corinthians 5:17 tells us that “if anyone belongs to Christ, he is a new creation. The old is gone, the new has come!” Can’t help repeating this scripture using the KJV version; it seems so much more powerful, in this case - “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. “

When we are in HIM, satan can come at us but he cannot get to us. It would be only when we slip outside the “cloak” of Christ or allow some of ourselves to be exposed, that he can have any effect on us.

Quoting briefly from the on-line devotional of this morning,

“By one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified” (Heb. 10:14) We are as pure as God is pure, righteous as Christ is righteous, and therefore entitled to be called His brothers because we now share in His righteousness.”

Imagine, too, how God sees us, when we are in the “cloak of Christ.” Instead of seeing our pathetic sinful self, God sees us as righteous, because He sees Christ - with us in Him. He sees Christ’s outer righteous garment first - so we stand in perfectness (if there is such a word) before Him. Continuing in II Corinthians 5, in verse 21 “For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Imagine!

I can see this topic, like the one of GRACE, could go on and on. Our strength when we are IN CHRIST. We are safe IN CHRIST. Our attitudes when we are IN CHRIST. You get the picture; it will affect every breath we breathe, every aspect of our living.

Wouldn’t we (and I am certainly thinking of ME) as Christians be powerful in our world if we could really get the picture of what it is to be “in Him”? Maybe, in light of New Year’s resolutions, that will be mine - to involve myself more and more in finding out what life is like - “in Him”.

May God’s richest blessings be yours today and all through this coming new year,

A Child of God
What does it mean to be a Child of God? I remember several years ago when those hippy like characters would try to get our attention at every major intersection carrying literature and holding up home made placards declaring themselves to be children of God. A movement which seems to have fizzled like so many others has done. I used to feel sorry for them, they were just kids late teens early twenties maybe. I don’t think too many of them really had any concept of what it meant to be children of God.
The apostle Paul writes in Gal. 3:26, “For we are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” That’s what makes us children of God….faith in Christ Jesus and His finished work on the cross of Calvary. Only by faith and through faith can we wear the name “Child of God.”Faith in Christ Jesus and Him alone. Again quoting from the writings of Paul in Eph. 2:4-9, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ(by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace, in His kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. “ KJV
That is what a Child of God is…verse 10 of Eph. 2 says, “For We are His workmanship created in Christ unto good works.” To the worldly way of thinking, this is foolish, but look at what the Word of God says

The Wisdom of God
18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”[a]
20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. 22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. 23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles,[b] Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy[c] when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world,[d] things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. 31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.
Why then should we be timid about declaring our faith? After all you are a child of God; I am a child of God. Let’s share this truth with others and let’s start today. Maybe you have thought “what can I say to bring someone to Jesus?” Do what you can and let Him do the rest…sometimes the fruit isn’t seen for a time but eventually it will show. It is up to us to help another become a child of God. Recently I learned about somebody that I worked with many years ago and witnessed to him about the Lord. I never thought of myself as a good witness but that man accepted Jesus and said I had been the cause of his accepting Christ and he in turn has led others to the Lord and after these years, it was told to me and I thank the Lord for it. So just let God lead and do what you can; just live the life. You are a child of God.

THE WIND
Of the four gospels in the New Testament, John’s gospel is perhaps the most beloved and of all the stories shared in the entire Bible, the one told in the third chapter of John’s gospel is perhaps the best known. It is the one about a man named Nicodemus. The Bible says that he came to see Jesus by night.
He probably did not want to be seen talking to Jesus because of his position. After all he had a reputation to maintain; he was a ruler; He was a Pharisee, and you can read the story for yourself in chapter 3. Most of you probably know it by heart.
Mark Lowry of Gaither fame sings a song that says “some things never change” And there are still some who come secretly, perhaps too timid at first but the important thing is that they come, however you can’t keep it a secret because others will know if there is a change so we might as well declare our faith in the first place, however I want to talk about another aspect of this story and that is verses 7&8
“Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it , but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Last night the wind blew very strong outside; I could hear it as it whistled and whipped the tarp that I have covering my woodpile. It was indeed a strong wind, stronger at times than others. The wind of the Holy Spirit is beginning to blow once again in Saint John and I believe it is another visitation of the Holy Spirit to prepare His bride for a harvest of souls just before He gets ready to return to take His church up in the rapture. I for one believe that it may well be the last opportunity for the churches to reap this harvest. Jesus said that the wind blows wherever it wishes. This indicates that it has to be a sovereign move of God, not directed by man made ways. However we can be candidates for Spiritual renewal. The church must experience renewal in order to be effective for the cause of Christ and I believe God is doing a work in our hearts and lives today. Hudson Taylor, I believe it was cried out in prayer “give me China lest I die” or words to that effect. We need to pray for our communities the same way with that same kind of passion. A missionary/evangelist friend of mine recently preached with great anointing and cried out to GOD “God, give me India”; he has a tremendous passion for the souls of India. The wind of the Holy Ghost is blowing again and I can hear the sound of it and I am beginning to feel it but I cannot tell where it is going but I do know He has promised this according to the book of Acts to as many as the Lord our God shall call and it is a promise for everyone who will receive it. Let’s not miss God’s visitation, let’s reach out and receive it from Him.
I believe if “My people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and (I) will forgive their sins and heal their land.”II Chronicles 7:14. The promise is there people of God. Are you going to receive it or are you too busy? Is the season too important to seek His face? The cliché goes “Jesus is the reason for the season”. But is He? Isn’t the real reason an obsession with shopping and tinsel and decorations and pageants? Yes even pageants can take precedent over seeking His face.
We need to repent. Great repentance always preceeds great revivals. The Wind blows wherever it chooses; let it choose Saint John, oh God I pray, and let it choose the community that you live in also.

Let’s have an Interactive Study - well, as much as is possible in the blog situation. However, I am sure many of you will think of ideas as you read these thoughts - please let us know your ideas and then I can incorporate them into my thoughts about the Christmas story - the real story.

Luke 2 The Birth of Jesus

A few years ago I heard a speaker at a Christmas banquet speak on the topic of the “responses to His birth”. Even though it was late in the evening before he was given the chance to speak and he was given only a few minutes, it was amazing how many points he made on this subject. Since I did not realize the nature of his message, it did not cross my mind to take notes. But ever since then, I have often thought about this topic at this season and when I hear or read the Christmas story.

So, let us consider some of the reactions or responses to the birth of the baby - some of them from my memory of this speaker’s message and some of thoughts that have come to me this week as I re-read the Christmas story.

In the story, there are many “players”; the village innkeeper, Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, angels, Herod, the Wisemen, and Simeon. There are others in the story but these are some to consider. Unfortunately, we can see ourselves in some of their responses and wish we could in the others.

Probably the one we would most NOT want to the same response would be the innkeeper. No Room. Too Busy. What a response! Let’s pray that none of us become so busy making money and our way in the world, that we do not have room for Him.

Then there is Joseph. Whole books could be written about his response to the birth of Jesus. Probably they have been but I have not read any. Even from the appearing of the angel to him, he made all the right responses. He was sensitive to God’s guidance and obeyed God. And in the process, he, as a wonderful speaker Peggy Kennedy put it, “protected the promise of God.” He had such strong beliefs, he was prepared to do what was right even though it would cause pain, both to him and to his family. We do not hear of Joseph after Jesus was 12 years old, but up to then, the whole plan of salvation wrought by our Saviour would have been so different if Joseph had not responded the way he did.

So much depended on Mary’s response. Mary had many reactions to the news of being the mother of Jesus and to His birth. Of course, there was the puzzlement and fright because she would not have been able to understand what was happening. But she humbly made herself available to God. So much could be said about Mary’s response. In Luke 1:38, she says “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true.” As pointed out in the LAP Bible notes, “A person’s character is revealed by his or her response to the unexpected”. (p. 1471) Would our response be - “Yes” - to the Lord, whatever you desire for me?

We all know the story of the shepherds. Pretty ordinary job and probably pretty ordinary night on the hillside, until . . . suddenly an angel appeared - of course, their first reaction would have been fright!! Their response, however, after the excitement, was one of “let’s go and worship”. After going and finding Mary and Joseph and the baby, they went back to their job, praising God because they had seen Him!!

The angels played a great part that wonderful night! They spread the news and sang and praised God. Luke 2:14, “Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, good will toward men.” Imagine what the shepherds saw! The angels response was one of praise.

And then there was Herod. He reacted with fear to the birth of Jesus. He was so fearful, he killed all the boys under two years of age in an obsessive attempt to kill Jesus, the newborn King. (LAP Bible notes) But he only hurt himself, no one could stop God’s plans - to provide a Saviour for the world.

The Wisemen did what wisemen would do! When they got the news, they sought for Him. They came, and brought gifts. We, too, can have the same response as them, we can come . . . and give the gift of ourselves to Him. That was God’s plan, as prophesied by the prophet, Isaiah, and repeated in Matthew 1:21, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” I pray that I will be as wise as these wisemen, that I will recognize Him as King, and that I will come and worship Him by giving Him all of me, even as Romans 12:1 to “present (my body) a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

And Simeon saw Jesus as a gift from God. Simeon was a righteous man who was devout and the Holy Spirit was upon Him. Luke 2:26, “It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.” When Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple, he recognized Jesus as “your salvation”. (vs. 30) He took Jesus in his arms and sang a song of praise.

This blog will never be done. We could go on and on with all those who have known or seen Jesus over the centuries and could investigate their responses to Him. However, the only response we truly have to concern ourselves with is our own response to Jesus. May it be the one that God wants - to first of all recognize who He is, and then to come and bow down in worship to Him.

I am hoping this will create lots of thought - we can write a second blog as a compilation of your comments - so be generous with your ideas.

Blessings on all of you this wonderful season of the year, one that recognizes Him as our King!!

Make preparation …

The old adage “never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can do today” is probably the best advice one could offer and it is never more true than preparing to meet God; as the Prophet Amos prophecied many hundreds of years ago. Amos 4:11,12 says, “I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. 12) Therefore thus will I do to you O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!” There is an appointment coming; you can call it a day of reckoning if you want to but rest assured it is coming. Amos was just an ordinary “joe” like most of us are who had to work for a living just like most of us has to. In fact he was a sheepbreeder in a place called Tekoa and he lived during the days of a king called Uzziah; he was king of Judah which was part of Israel. At one time it was part of Israel but the kingdom had divided into two parts; Israel and Judah and that was Uzziah’s kingdom and Israel’s king was Jeroboam. Where did they get these names? I don’t suppose anyone called him “Jerry”. They wouldn’t dare. Or “ Uzzy” isn’t that a machine gun? No, I think the gun is an “Uzzi”. Anyway getting back to our story; Amos heard the voice of God speaking to him and he said,: “The LORD roars from Zion, And utters His voice from Jerusalem;” I don’t know about you but when the Lord roars and utters His voice, I don’t care where He is doing it from, I’m going to stand to attention and listen….that is if I can stand. The Lord “roars and utters His voice.” He commands attention like no general on earth could ever hope to.
Look at what Amos recorded for us to see….Ch. 3:3-8 Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction? 4 Does a lion ever roar in a thicket without first finding a victim? Does a young lion growl in its den without first catching its prey? 5 Does a bird ever get caught in a trap that has no bait? Does a trap spring shut when there’s nothing to catch? 6 When the ram’s horn blows a warning, shouldn’t the people be alarmed? Does disaster come to a city unless the Lord has planned it?
7 Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared— so who isn’t frightened? The Sovereign Lord has spoken— so who can refuse to proclaim his message
What God proclaims through Amos is this, there is coming a day of judgment and you had better be prepared for it. God is warning people today that His day is coming and if we are going to be ready we had better quit living such careless lives and prepare for His coming.
The lion has roared—so who isn’t frightened? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophecy? That was Amos’ heartbeat. Jeremiah was in the same boat as Amos; he too could not hold back speaking when God moved in his soul and told him to prophecy.
In last evening’s Bible study at the church house we read from Hebrews 3:13’ “but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today”, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Today is all we have and there is no guarantee of tomorrow, all we have is today and if there is one tool that our soul’s enemy uses to perfection, it is to get us to put off today.
If he can get you and I to put off accepting God’s plan for our lives and our loved ones lives, and by that I mean telling them the plan of salvation, then he has accomplished what he wants.Even if it is just for today. And we are not ignorant of his devices are we? Read II Cor. 2:11 In verse 8 the apostle says, “therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him; speaking of a person who had fallen that needed comfort. He had paid his debt and now Paul urged the church at Corinth to let up on him and show love. Isn’t it time we showed love and forgiveness to someone who has offended us? While it is today and while the Spirit of God is urging you to do so? Do what GOD is placing on your heart and minds…do it today.

Jesus Christ is Grace and He is Truth

At the outset of our blog, we laid hold on the theme of grace and as it rolled along, we stepped up the order to include the theme of grace and truth and I quoted that scripture from the Gospel according to John (he was the disciple whom Jesus had a special love for)The verse reads, “for the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Grace and Truth…they go together like two peas in a pod, like hand in glove, like they were meant for each other; at least that is my observation. And the reason is that Jesus is grace and truth. He is all grace and He is all truth. My dad was a man of great integrity….his word was his bond as they say. So much so that he would tell the customs officer everything we had brought over from the U.S. before the guy could even ask, sometimes to the chagrin of my mother. If the guy don’t ask ….don’t tell, right? Shades of Bill Clinton here. Don’t ask, don’t tell? Remember that policy? But dad would tell for fear that perhaps holding back and not volunteering might somehow be a lie. Truth was so extremely important to him.
And even in church, if the pastor preached a particularly
convicting sermon and gave an opportunity for folks to go forward, Dad who was a stalwart of faith, who loved Jesus with all his heart would go up sometimes with those who were considered the sinners for prayer and I used to think, Dad why are you up there? You shouldn’t be up there now, wait for another call to Christians. But I realized later on that his heart was so tender toward God that he didn’t want anything in his life, be it an attitude, a thought or a deed that was unlike Christ to go on unchecked. He couldn’t harbour evil in his heart without feeling conviction.
I have battled things like that in my life and I too feel conviction when I am in the presence of the Holy Spirit. And I too have to ask forgiveness and the Truth comes to set me free. In a Bible study a couple of weeks ago I read from Hebrews chapter 3 verse 1. “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus” When we consider Him and our calling and our confession, and we realize what He has done for us, doesn’t that cause us to surrender everything that is in us to Him? Doesn’t that cause us to remove the beam in our own eye before we try to operate on our brother’s eye? Doesn’t it bring conviction where conviction is necessary? When we consider Jesus and realize our calling we must know that we have been called to righteousness and holy living. In 2 Cor. Ch. 10 and vs 1-8 the apostle speaks of a warfare that we are in as children of God. 1)“Now I, Paul, MYSELF AM PLEADING WITH YOU BY THE MEEKNESS AND GENTLENESS OF Christ—who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. 2)But I beg you when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not walk according to the flesh. 4) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds, 5) casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of CHRIST.”
How we see it in the political world in our own country of Canada in our times. Things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, for example the marrying of same sex couples. This is an abomination in the sight of God! You cannot turn on a television program today without the theme of illicit living; ungodliness is the order of that industry. And our own city government where I live is condoning all kinds of ungodliness. We need to think about this come next election in our city. The battle is on; people of God and we have a calling and it is a call to righteousness, to Godliness and it’s a call that I for one am ready to give up anything that is not what He wants in my life. Like Dad, who was so tender toward God’s leading, I too want to rid my self of every weight and the sin that so easily besets. That is found in Hebrews 12:1
Hebrews 12:28 speaks of our heavenly calling and how we should live in the light of it; “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Verse 29 is awesome, “For our God is a consuming fire.”
Anyone care to be consumed by fire? If not then serve God acceptably. Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.

Eternity is a long long time;where will you spend it?

Have you ever made an appointment and forgot what the time and date was supposed to be? Consequently you showed up too late to keep it? I remember having that situation occur in my life one time and it was extremely embarrassing; especially so when the person I was supposed to meet ragged me out and I had to eat humble pie. My doctor had made an appointment with a dietician at the area hospital and I had committed it to memory. And that was back when I had a memory (ha!) Actually my memory still works and I thank God that it does; many folks do not enjoy that luxury anymore and my heart goes out to them.
Getting back to my story, the dietician found me waiting out in the hall and I had wasted an hour of her time. It was not pleasant, as they say, “not a pretty sight” So I begged her forgiveness and ate a little crow and she showed her gracious side and all was forgiven. Whew! I learned a valuable lesson that day, never stand up your dietician; keep your appointment.
Yesterday we went to visit my wife’s aunt and while she was visiting her aunt I went to see another couple; only they were not home. I had not made an appointment. So I drove around the bay area where they all live until I found their car, or at least it looked like their car. Two white Kia’s in the same community…..who would have guessed? It certainly looked like their’s, another lesson learned. Never assume that someone is waiting for you if you haven’t informed them of your coming and never depend upon appearances to tell you such and such is so. You have to look closer to see the hidden truth sometimes. Like the heart, “God looks on the heart” Maybe you never have made an appointment with a dietician or for that matter any kind of professional help. And by the way my reason for the dietician was not to lose weight; it was because of a chloresteral problem…..in those days I didn’t need to lose weight. Now I do. However, all that aside I want to talk about keeping appointments.
There is an appointment that every man, every woman and every child has to face at some time. The Bible says “it is appointed unto every man (women and children understood) once to die. We have an appointment to keep with the grim reaper whether we want to or not because the Bible teaches that while death is an enemy, it is the last one to be eliminated. So we will keep that appointment. And we cannot escape it. The Bible tells us also that we will spend eternity somewhere; either in heaven (oh, joy) or we’ll spend it in hell (horrors!) I can’t imagine how horrific hell must be. There won’t be any chance of a missing identity either…a person may look like a Christian but is the registration correct. The car I thought was Lewis’s car had a different registration; it looked like his car but I had the wrong car. If I had known his license plate number i.e. registration, I would have not bothered to look for them any further. You can’t assume everything is all right. You must make sure of it. One might look like a Christian, maybe even talk like one but under it all is a life that has never made the right appointment. There is an appointment you have to make to insure that after death you will go to heaven. And that is an appointment with God whereby a person surrenders their life to the finished work that Jesus the Son of God has accomplished when He died on the cross at Calvary over two thousand years ago. For you see after death is the judgment and if your name is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life THEN YOUI WILL MISS HEAVEN the greatest tragedy that anybody could ever or will ever face. If you miss heaven; you miss everything. It won’t matter that Mom and Dad are Christians. It won’t matter if you have been brought up in a Christian home. It won’t matter that you go to church and it won’t matter if you are even a good person. The only thing that will matter is if your name is found written by God in the Lamb’s Book of Life. The only way that can happen is by believing in the finished work of Christ on the cross and by faith accepting Him as your own personal savior. You have to be registered in the Book. You have to have the correct registration…. It won’t matter that you look the part. So in the light of eternity….a long, long time…forever
And forever; what are you waiting for?
What can wash away my sin? Absolutely nothing but the blood of Jesus. Absolutely nothing but His blood. Nothing else will do….not good works…not your family background…not anything; but the blood of Jesus! There is an old song that says Jesus makes everything right. I gave Him my old tattered garments and He gave me a robe of pure white…We will keep that appointment; the only thing is we don’t know when it will be, so we have to always be ready.
Always, always, always be ready! I can’t stress it’s importance enough. He has extended His grace to include each and every one of us today. If you don’t know Him, please accept Him today….don’t miss out. I wouldn’t miss heaven for all of the world.
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. I pray today for anybody who reads this blog and has not yet kept the most important appointment of all; the Bible says today is the day of salvation, so keep that appointment today In the book of Hebrews it says in ch. 3 and verse 15 “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” And this is referring to rebellious Israel when they were in the wilderness heading for their promised land. Verse 19 says "So we see they could not enter in because of unbelief. "Unbelief will keep you out of heaven and you will spend eternity in hell. So don’t harden your heart today just accept Jesus as your savior. You can ask Him into your heart and life and He will come in and save you. In the book of Revelation it says in chapter 3 and verse 20, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Open the door today friend.
