His grace. .unmerited favor….favor that I cannot buy…it is free
A picture of His grace is found in Jer. Ch 18, vs 1 down through vs16. Here is the great potter…God …working and molding in our lives…but there is a flaw there and our lives become marred with sin….that looks like me there on the wheel ……but look He made it again another vessel, as seemed good in the hand of the potter to make it….is that you there? “ as it seemed good to the potter to make it.” He’ll do it for you my friend, He’s the same now as then….the song says. If and oh, how big is that little word “if”
If we allow ourselves to be clay in the potter’s hand there is no limit to what He can do…it will be a good work.
Even when we are chastened ……that’s grace ….working on our behalf to make us better Christians. HEB. 12:11 TELLS US , “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” The potter broke up the original work and crushed it and remolded it in his hands, but he made it into a better vessel ….without flaws…that peaceable fruit of righteousness is formed in those who are trained by God’s discipline. This to is grace is it not?

One writer said, ”Confession creates peace. Reading from that psalm 32 that I read at the outset in the New Century Version, ”Happy is the person whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned.” He goes on to say, ”if my children violate one of my standards or disobey a rule, I don’t disown them, I don’t kick them out of the house or tell them to change their last name. But I do expect them to be honest and apologize. …until they do the tenderness of our relationship will suffer…..the nature of the relationship won’t be altered, but the intimacy will, the same happens in our walk with God. Confession does not create a relationship with God, it simply nourishes it. If you are a believer, admission of sins does not alter your position before God, but it does enhance your peace with God.”(That is a quote from a devotional book written by a well known contemporary writer and I’m not sure I understand all he said there) Sin separates us from our God. That’s what the Bible says.

I,m still getting help with the technology so it might be a few more attempts before I get this right and I'm speaking of the technology, not the content, so be a little more patient with me and soon we will be in business. This again is the correct address......www.moreaboutHisWord.blogspot.com
Hope we can become more interactive soon.......Randall
I was thinking about my qualifications to do this blog, that is to offer my views on what the Bible teaches and they(my qualifications ) are zero...zilch...none existant, except this one.....I'm just a sinner...saved by grace. Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to His cross I cling. Paul said "to me to live is Christ" I hope that is the heart beat of every Christian.
It causes me great serchings of heart, how about you?

wHAT DO i KNOW ABOUT GRACE?I'm talking about the grace of God.
As humans we are so frail and we are capable of great failure. In Jer.17:9,”the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Who can know it? God does…He knows our hearts. He sees right into our hearts. He sees the secret things of our hearts and minds. Every evil thought….every secret desire….He sees the good and righteous desires too. And His grace is sufficient to cover all our sins…..even the secret ones. I know He sees my heart and has convicted me many times. “If we confess our sins….that is the antidote…. Not a license but forgiveness. I have proved that verse over and over again….in fact the older I get the more I become aware of my sins and I find myself repenting many times. Am I alone in this? The song that Dave, Duane &Neil sing says, ”He has forgiven me, my sins have been washed from His memory, by the beautiful blood of Calvary…He has forgiven me…..Hallelujah! And I can say this week ….He has forgiven me.
Praise God praise God forevermore. It is up to date. Maybe you are fighting a battle in your life. Cast yourself on Him and confess the thing to Him and He will deliver you. Many times we need to ,….all the time we need to be aware of the enemy of our souls who is going about ..as..a roaring lion seeking whom he may desire. Jabez prayed in 1 Chron.ch.4 vs.10,”and that You would keep me from evil….Ro.12:9 says,” Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.” Vs.21,”Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Who is Paul telling this to? Vs#1 reads, ”I beseech you therefore …brethren,… that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service”…..brethren…..He is talking to the brethren. He’s talking to Christian’s..He is talking to the church. He is talking to you and I.

This post is my second attempt after the original one in which I stated the purpose of my blog. In the first try I actually put my thoughts in the comment section rather than a post. Since I am the owner of the blog it should have been a post not a comment. Comments are for you to respond.
So it is my desire to talk a little about grace....in particular God's grace. And I will entitle what I hope to be a Bible Study....."what do I know about grace?" And I welcome your comments and if there should be any negative and I mean really negative such as abusive material then I reserve the right to edit it. Fair enough? What do I know about grace
R.C.
What do I know about grace ? Or despisest thou the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Ro.2:4. David the Psalmist that sweet singer of Israel said in psalm 32” Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” The Living Bible tells it this way, ”What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven! What joys when sins are covered over! What relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record.” I love that paraphrase ….God has cleared their record!
What joy! What relief! This is the grace of God that the psalmist is referring to.

(Reading again from the Living Bible)vs.3 goes on to say,”There was a time when I wouldn’t admit what a sinner I was. But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration. Vs4…All day and all night Your hand was heavy upon me. My strength evaporated like water on a sunny day. Vs5…until I finally admitted all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself,”I will confess them to the Lord,” and You forgave me! All my guilt is gone.(hallelujah!)vs.6… Now I say that each believer should confess his sins to God, when he is aware of them, while there is time to be forgiven. Judgement will not touch him if he does. ”What a beautiful truth. A picture of God’s marvelous grace. His unmerited favor!!!

Having been asked to share some thoughts about God's Word, I thought that using today's technology would be the best way to go about this. Through Blogging, we can have an online Bible study.

I intend to begin discussions, and share thoughts here on a somewhat regular basis. If you would like to be informed about new additions, send me an email, or check here at www.moreaboutHisWord.blogspot.com, or by clicking the link at www.atlanticmissions.ca.

More to follow on what is to come and how to become involved soon.

Looking forward to sharing,
Randall
