Last night at the church house I talked about sheep and I received manycomments about them that I had not offered in my sermon/lecture/talk. It sparked some ideas from the congregation, I guess. We are talking about the names of the Lord in this blog and in our last blog I said that
Jesus was the Door to the sheepfold.
As a matter of fact, He said that an individual who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but tries to enter some other way is a thief and a robber.
It's there in John 10:1. Vs. 2 says "But he who enters by the door
is the shepherd of the sheep."
In the 14th. chapter He tells Thomas (doubting Thomas) that He is the Way, verse 8, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
There is only one Way to heaven and that is through Jesus. There is no other way.

You see Thomas had asked Jesus a question, "how can we know the way?" It was a perfectly legitimate question. It was such an important question that Jesus took the time to address it not only for Thomas but for you and I as well. He is the way to Heaven but HE IS ALSO THE WAY OUT OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE OVERWHELMING YOU TODAY AND THE BURDEN THAT IS TOO HEAVY FOR YOU TO BEAR. WHATEVER SITUATION YOU ARE IN THIS DAY -- AND it matters not how you got there....He is the way out of that situation. He is also the grace that you need in the situation. Remember the song that says "He has opened the way to the Father" I am so glad that He is the Way. The old song says "let's be true to Jesus, though a thousand voices from the world may call, t'was He who died to save us and He demands our life, our loyalty, our all" "The name of the Lord is a strong tower."

I guess that,we are all doubting Thomas's, we know these things are all true,yet we,still try to handle
our circumstances ourselves,and we know,this can't be done,but we try,and things get worse,some of our circumstance seem to be so desperate that,there is just no way out,but turn it over to the lord,and befor you know it,things seem to have a way of getting better,I know this,we have all been there,so drop your problems off at the door,JESUS can handle them.

Because God is our heavenly Father;the giver of life He has a claim upon our lives. Like the father of the prodigal son,He yearns over His lost sheep[children] that have wandered away from Him. Allthrough the bible God shows His patience with His lost ones.
He is the door way and He is saying return to me. No matter how far we strayed God loves us, and wants to welcome us home.
Thank you Father that you are so loving that we can never do anything that is so bad that you will not forgive,that there is no circumstance that He can not get us through.
I thank Him for His help each day and that I have Him on my side
With Him we can have peace in all situations if we remember to ask for it. C.M.
