Inspiration part 2//Salvation is of the Lord
In the book of Acts chapter 4 and verse 12 the Apostle Peter, who by the way never saw the city of Rome, stood up on the day of Pentecost in the city of Jerusalem and proclaimed these words, “ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” NKJV.
Jonah, after he spent three days and nights in hell…it must have seemed like hell to him; cried out, “Salvation is of the Lord” He was in the belly of a great fish that God had created just for one purpose and what seemed like hell to Jonah was actually God’s plan of salvation for him. He cried out to God from inside that fishes belly and God heard him. You can cry out to God from your own personal hell and He will hear you.
When the weeds of sin like kelp or rockweed or whatever those weeds that Jonah had wrapped around his head were, (it is all there in chapter 2) and you feel like you are choking of life, you can cry out to God just like Jonah did. Psalm 3:8 says “Salvation belongs to the Lord.” Psalm 68:20 puts it this way, “God is the GOD OF SALVATION.” Not Mohammed, not Hare Krishna, not Buddha, nor all those gods of the Hindu’s
or any other god’s but salvation is only found in Jesus Christ who is the Son of the Living God, bar none.
You have to come to Jesus. Again an old song rings in my heart and it simply says, “You’d better come to Jesus and get saved.” Another song from a few years ago went like this…”if I were you, I’d give Jesus my heart, if I were you I’d make a new start. I’d do it today, I wouldn’t delay, If I were you…I’d give Jesus my heart.” The Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is my inspiration; He is my inspiration.
He is salvation!

As I read your thoughts, I was reminded too that people all over the world love "other gods" but their gods do not love them. How blessed we are that we, too, love Our God but also that He loves us.
This is totally unknown in any other religion on earth!!! My God loves me!! How amazing!!
As I was reading todays blog I
started thinking about what some of
us go through before we come to
Jesus.God has our plan all worked
out.Sometimes we go a different
way and He lets thinks happen to us,like Jonah in the fish's belly.
Like Jonah some of us has to try it our way first, and like Jonah we
find out that there is No other way. Only God's way.
When I pray for my kids I offen say what ever it takes Lord to
bring them to you.I know that this
could mean them having some bad
times ahead or them.I pray not,but
if it takes bad times to get them to the Lord,so be it.
Think of the bad time Jesus had
to bring us to the Father. Each of us has to come to God for our
salvation. Some of us may not think
that we are in hell, because they
think that their life is pretty
good now,but if you do not know
Jesus as your own personal savior
you are going to be lost.

As I was re-reading this post I realized that I have made an error. I quoted Peter from Acts 4:12 as saying those words on the day of Pentecost. Of course, it was after the day of Pentecost that he said, "Nor is there salvation in any other", etc. I apoogize for that mistake but it is still true even though I had the wrong day. There is no salvation other than coming by way of the cross of Jesus.
